Kazo District Council Holds Session at District Headquarters

Kazo District Council held a session at the district council hall located at the district headquarters. The meeting was chaired by the district speaker Hon. Dan Nahurira Bwamunyoga.

The session was attended by the District Chairperson, Rev.Samuel Mugisha Katugunda, district councilors and heads of departments.

During the meeting, the District Speaker welcomed councilors who participated in the recent NRM primaries, congratulating those who succeeded and encouraging those who did not to continue striving in future elections. He also expressed appreciation for the progress being made in the construction of roads across Kazo District and urged all district departments to focus on delivering quality work.

Regarding infrastructure development, the Speaker announced the recruitment of a new District Engineer, expressing hope that this will strengthen the efforts in ongoing projects. Additionally, the Speaker highlighted other developments across all sectors and departments within the district.

In a touching appeal, the Speaker requested that the district leadership and technical staff stand in support of the Principal Assistant Secretary (PAS), who is set to travel to India for medical treatment of breast cancer.

Addressing the council, District Chairperson Reverend Samuel Mugisha Katugunda also welcomed and congratulated the councilors from the NRM primaries. He encouraged those who did not succeed this time to keep working hard as they will have opportunities in the future.

The Chairperson applauded the various developments observed across the district, including in works, health, and administration. He pledged to address any challenges that may arise to ensure continued progress.

Furthermore, the District Chairperson thanked the technical staff of Kazo District, led by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala, for their dedication and cooperation in delivering effective services to the community.

Councilors resolved that the district leadership should collaborate closely with the UPDF Engineering Brigade to accelerate the construction and completion of key projects, including the administration block.
