Kazo District Leaders Hold Extended Technical Planning Meeting to Boost Service Delivery

Kazo District — Technical staff and members of the District Executive Committee today convened for a joint extended technical planning meeting in the district council hall aimed at strengthening service delivery and improving performance across departments.

The meeting was chaired by the LC5 Chairperson, Rev. Samuel Mugisha Katugunda alongside the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala.

In his remarks, Rev. Katugunda commended the district’s technical team for maintaining service delivery during the recent campaign period. He expressed appreciation for their dedication and resilience, noting that their efforts have contributed to improved performance in various national rankings.

“I am amazed by the performance of our departments. Kazo district is doing well in different national rankings, but our goal now is to be among the top-performing districts in the country,” he said.

The LC5 Chairperson emphasized that with the campaign period now concluded, leaders and technical staff must fully refocus on serving the people. He urged sub-county chiefs to diligently execute their responsibilities and work closely with LC3 chairpersons to ensure effective coordination and improved results.

Rev. Katugunda stressed that teamwork and commitment at all levels of local government will be key to propelling the district to the top positions in performance assessments.

On his part, CAO Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to enhancing the district’s standing. He pledged that the technical team would do whatever it takes to make Kazo one of the best-performing districts in Uganda.

He further encouraged sub-county chiefs and district staff to place greater emphasis on effective service delivery and the collection of local revenue, noting that these are critical pillars for sustainable development and improved public services.

The joint planning meeting underscored the district leadership’s renewed commitment to accountability, performance improvement and delivering tangible results to the people of Kazo.
